Lovers Creatives Prosperity The Hell Of It

Daniel Bergin - New York WeddIng Photographer

Hi, I'm Daniel Bergin, a New York photographer. I specialize in documentation and editorial portraiture on film.

In a strange way, I feel photography isn't the art of taking photos. It's the art of being present. I've ultimately found taking meaningful photos is so much more about connecting with people and feeling moments alongside them rather than simply being a disconnected observer. Understanding this gives me permission to lean into my role as a participant and facilitator. Drawing out, encouraging, and amplifying individual personalities and collective energies. Which is why connection is integral to my approach. Because the last thing I'd want to be is a stranger in a room full of friends and lovers. When you boil it down in this way you begin to understand it's not about taking photos, it's about spending time as people.

I've found I mesh best with creative types and unapologetic partiers who value people and presence above all, especially on their wedding day.

I'm grateful to have been born, raised, and still call New York home. I'm equally grateful to have been all over the US to photograph couples and celebrations. My work has been featured in The New York Times, The Cut, Anti-Bride, Green Wedding Shoes, and more.

Absolutely blown away from working with you. We're beyond thankful for your incredible setup, truly taking the time to understand our vision and needs for our big day. We can't stop looking at our own wedding photos, just gorgeous, and we've had an incredible amount of love and support from our friends and family. One comment from a friend: "Are these from Vogue?!"

“Danny is not only extremely talented at what he does with the camera but also a supremely nice human who is a pleasure to spend time with. We would recommend Danny over and over in a heartbeat.”

“On the day, Danny was more than just our photographer, he felt like a guest. His energy was amazing, and he made us feel so at ease.”

“Danny seamlessly mastered being in the thick of it without being in the way.”

“Even as someone who hates being in front of the camera, I felt so beyond comfortable with Danny. He makes you feel so relaxed and like you know what you’re doing in front of the camera”

“As for Danny as a person, guests were basically falling over themselves to come tell us how fun and incredible he was. He really felt like one of the guest by the end of the night - he just fit in so well and made our guests laugh and feel comfortable. So many people asked me for his Instagram afterwards because not only is he talented, but he was just so gosh darn fun to be around.”
